Turkey's recent decision to downgrade its military (which happens to be the country's guardian of secularism)--along with its strident refusal to meet with Israel at this week's UN blatherfest is yet more demonstrable evidence that Ankara is moving closer to becoming an Islamic State.
(And let us never forget Turkey's HELL NO! response when asked by President Bush if we could launch an invasion of northern Iraq from its southern boarder.)
All of this disquieting news begs the question: Why is this Belligerent still a member of NATO?
