President Obama's rhetoric (that he cares so much about the middle-class) is the epitome of disingenuousness. Why? Because if he truly cared about these salt-of-the-earth individuals he would not allow the Bush tax cuts (for top wage earners) to expire.
Economics 101 explicitly teaches that it is our nation's top earners who produce the jobs, wealth and prosperity that have so richly blessed the middle-class. And--when faced with onerous taxes--these vital producers will have no choice but to layoff of the very ones Obama purports to care about.In the final analysis:
Socialism can only be ushered in once the middle-class has been thoroughly decimated (morally and financially).
Beware of those claiming to care.
